I sure wish MSNBC would vary their guests today instead of the same old, same old
Edited on Wed Jan-10-07 01:39 PM by Armstead
MSNBC deserves some credit for devoting the day to this "new phase" of the Iraq War.

But the problem is that there are the same people that are always on saying the same things.

I wish to hell they'd get some other observers and analysts on there who could go below the same old same old, and offer some different perspectives.

I know, I know....the MSM doesn't do that. But most everyone today is critical of Bushco's handling of the war, so there'd be nothing to risk by having people on there who can give more details and a wider variety of perspectives.

1. They're having a special with Olbermann et al after the speech
Should be good...but let's face it, this is not one of those topics where you're going to see some wild new information. Bush has tried surges before, they failed or worse (some real blowback in several cases), and there is no reason to think this one will succeed. It's amusing watching John Fund et al trying to defend Bush.

The same old ensures that the overall veil of protection the establishment powers need
is still in place, despite Bush's constant fockups.
