6. I only had premium cable long enough to watch the 2001 season

before reluctantly deciding to swap it for a high-speed Internet connection (the better to read DU with, my dear). So I am REALLY hating the idea of missing the very first show. On the other hand, I have a civic duty, too--to not miss the mega-snark that DU will turn Bush's speech into this evening. And what do I do about The Daily Show? I'm not even sure the Bush Speech Modulator would help...

7. I started to watch the Sopranos on HBO a couple of years ago, and with HBO on

Demand have entirely caught up. What a fantastic show! I've been spoiled with HBO and couldn't take the editing. The editing of Sex In The City on TBS ruins a lot of the shock value.

8. The First Season Is By Far The Best Season

Primarily because of Nancy Marchand. Her character was the only one that could reign in Tony, and his usual tools did not work on her. Ever since, Tony has been able to do anything to anyone that he wants, and that's hurt the show tremendously.

I think that they should have re-casted her character.
