Survey: Human beings' treatment of animals (in general) is...
A) Deplorable

B) An outrage

C) Sickening

D) All of the above

E) Wonderful. Humans have always treated the animal kingdom with dignity and respect. And if bad things happened to animals from time-to-time, it was because the animals got what was coming to them.

(Ok, this is a strange thread coming from me. Got ticked off today after some idiot on the road honked his horn at an injured dog who was trying to limp off to the sidewalk. Jerk was apparently upset that the dog was holding up traffic. Fortunately, there were decent motorists who got out of their cars to help the dog and call the owner and police. Dog will hopefully be ok.)

3. You must be kidding.
Make your political point and all but as far as I know, none of our soldiers have been boiled alive, chained outside in the middle of winter or had any body parts removed without anesthesia.

6. Not to appear argumentative, but the whole point of war is to
remove parts of people without anesthesia. So far, more than twenty two thousand of our soldiers have had hig enough parts of themselves removed that they only survived by having high powered medical care from immediate evac to a mash unit and are incapable of returning to duty - or even a normal life. Another three thousand plus had parts of themselves removed without anesthesia and did not survive the experience.

As far as being boiled alive, I happen to know what happens inside a tank that has been penetrated by an rpg and burning people with napalm or phosphorous, also without anesthesia, tends to do a pretty nice job of boiling.

Man's inhumanity to animals is pretty well equaled by man's inhumanity to man.

2. I honk my horn at dogs all the time
not really at the dogs but for a distress call for the master or someone nearby.
