1. Norm "The Weasel" Coleman has to run for re-election in '08
in this increasingly blue state. He will have his ass handed to him if he doesn't distance himself from the Chimperor (and probably even if he does).

3. brownback is running for president (giggle).
isn't he the one that said, in September, that an anti-gay marraige ammendment was "The most important question facing our nation", and then stood on the floor of the senate talking about how there was never a divorce or a homosexual in his family?

I <heart> that guy. He's like Santorum without the catchy definition.

6. Not surprising.
Normie has to come back and face the resurgent DFL in an increasingly blue Minnesota. Brownback has '08 in his crosshairs, and the religious right--his likely base--has all but given up on the neoconservatives; they're starting to wish for the days of isolationism again. Voinovich has always been moderate, no suprise there.

The Republicans admit that they would have as many as ten of their own cross the aisle on a vote condemning the surge--I wonder who the others are.
