Economic Report: Legions Of Homeless Growing In The United States

Economic Report:

By Jesse Russell

A shocking report suggests nearly 750,000 people are homeless in the United States. The study released Wednesday by the National Alliance to End Homeless says they have completed the first comprehensive study of its kind for the purpose of having a way to measure future success or failures. Nearly 300,000 of the homeless live on the street and 41 percent are families.

1. Shocking. Disgusting.
In this country of all places. Its time to look at the people whose greed puts families on the streets as the criminals that they are.

6. It most definitely is. I wasn't counted, and I'm homeless...how many others
didn't get counted?

They relied on "professionals" to assess the numbers.

Says it all.

I think we are in for a bumpy year, folks.

How many, like me, are only one disaster away from that status? And yet to get over small bumps, I am told there is no help because I make too much money.

Yeah.

Okay, let's not help prevent homelesness... only make it living hell once it happens.

Is this a great country, or what?

4. C'mon people. There are winners and losers. You know, survival of the fittest?
It's the American Way! It's capitalism at its' finest!

Now pull yourself up by your bootstraps and get a JOB!

5. Add them to the Million plus in our prisons.......
and the other tens of millions living below our ridiculously low poverty line. More tens of millions of youth going to school every day for a future without apparent hope.

Why does America hate it's people?

7. I am disgusted with this country
damned "conservative" libertarian idiots

the measure of a real civilization is how well its poorest citizens live.
