"Resolve. Patience. Sacrifice"
I resolve to have absolutely no more patience with anyone that enables or supports the sacrifices (death and destruction) being forced on the people of Iraq and the people of America.

13. Unfortunately, the problem really isn't the stoooopid stuff he says...
It's that so many 'Murkins are willing to swallow that "Resolve. Patience. Sacrifice." crap.

If he had no followers, we wouldn't be in this pickle.

15. That's the problem with democracy. :(
Yes, our media is propaganda.
But, people in Communist countries knew their media was propaganda, and knew how to read between the lines.

Yes, there is too much corruption of big money in our politics.
But, we don't have the will other countries have had to rectify that.

We just roll up into little balls, and go shopping to drown our sorrows.

sigh....

Danged DEmocracy, anyway!

18. I find it so very disturbing
Edited on Wed Jan-10-07 11:02 PM by G_j
that we can watch the talking heads 'frankly discuss' the 'tragedy' of the Iraq 'quagmire' with solemn voices expressing sincere concern.. these same 'news' people who refused to ask questions leading up to the war. Not only did they not ask the crucial questions, they would not even let voices for peace and alternative views anywhere near their coveted microphones.
I don't know how they sleep.

to hear the Press acting as if they give a damn now when they didn't do anything when it mattered. When it could have actually done some good. When it could have saved lives.

21. What about them?
They supporting/enabling the "sacrifices"? Then I have no patience for them.

This isn't a party thing...this is about stopping the dying. Stopping the lying. Stopping the war crimes. Holding the guilty accountable.

24. problem is, the war crimes have already been enabled
we should have never gone in. Now what we need to do is make sure that we never launch another unnecessary war again.

I mean, if we could withdraw today, wouldn't that justify the invasion? The reason that I opposed the war was because occupying and rebuilding Iraq would take decades and billions of dollars.

There is no easy way out and the only positive outcome will be solidarity behind the concept "NEVER AGAIN".

25. I agree that war crimes have already been enabled
Nothing would justify the invasion - to my thinking. Though I fully know America will leave Iraq the same way America got in Iraq - with lies. And those lies will be used to try and justify the invasion.

I opposed the invasion because Bush was lying (lots of info directly contradicting his claims), Congress didn't do much of anything to determine the validity of Bush's claims - they just rubber-stamped his whims..and because Bush's character was and is such that no one should ever - ever - believe anything he says. Bush showed he was a lying thug as governor of Texas..and Selection 2000 should have been a great indicator of his character.

I think "Never again" is a positive goal to embrace...but that comes with accountability. And Bush must be held accountable for his crimes...not mistakes...his crimes.

22. I'm with you
The people I still actually speak with who hold such opinions are A) related to me B) So batshit crazy (but functional in society)they only serve to reinforce my opinion that this war is so morally and ethically bankrupt anyone who continues to support it needs professional help.

Examples; My father after years of hiatus, is now reduced once again to listening to RUSH fucking LIMBAUGH as a source of information. His arguments based on complete bullshit make no sense. He keeps trying to compare Iraq to World War 11. WTF?

A co-worker, who says things like "I like fascism"-- no doubt thinking he is politically more sophisticated than the average person, because he uses a dictionary. I printed up "The Doctrine of Fascism" by Mussolini and gave it to him.

Both are racists who call themselves "conservatives" who think the answer is and I am using a direct quote here " You gotta just Kill them all, that's the only way to end it"

Ask who exactly this "all" is supposed to be? They don't know. Ask, and the ugliness, ignorance and racism pops up like a floating turd.

What an idiot!

I avoid such people whenever possible - and I make a point of making it possible.

Fortunately, my family thinks Bush is a war criminal.
