Let's get Bush a half-birthday present!
A few days ago, the Chimp celebrated his half-birthday, and it occurs to me that, although it's an uncommon practice on a number of different levels, we should get him a half-birthday present. I would recommend, therefore, that we on DU all chip in and buy Bush a copy of the computer game "Battlefield 2."

Four reasons. First, It's inexpensive. I got my copy at Target for 30 bucks -- add 10 bucks for shipping, and that's a buck each from 40 donors. Pretty reasonable, no?

Second, it's useful. The Chimp almost certainly has access to both the fastest personal computer and the best dedicated Internet connection in the world, not to mention the capability to run a kick-ass server. More than any of us, the Chimp would get the best bang for our bucks.

Third, it's fun. Really fun. I mean, REALLY fun. No right-winger will be able to protest that we got him something he wouldn't enjoy.

And fourth, it's cathartic. Every minute he spends killing US, Chinese or Middle-Eastern troops made out of pixels and databits is another minute he's not killing ACTUAL HUMAN BEINGS.

Whadya think?
