Do you think any Republicans will cross the aisle and join the Democrats
in light of this horrid plan that the leader of their party is setting forth?
I would love to see Snowe and Collins cross...even though I know it is doubtful.
The Republican ship just hit the iceberg. Will they save themselves or go down with it?

2. They'll do whatever they have to in order to save their careers.
In short order, that will involve impeachment.

3. Well, I believe their political careers may be at stake
And like rats jumping a sinking ship, this could happen. Even the Republicans must understand that the voters are pissed off about the war and want out.

5. Several have bailed on the war already. Coleman, others.
I was wondering, though--did any Puggies cross ver as a result of Watergate? I don't remember that happening, but I was pretty much in an alcoholic fog right about then.

Also Smith, Hagel, and about 4 others. Apparently there is some correlation between Repubs who are jumping off the Bush wagon and Republicans who are up for re-election next year...

10. No!
They're not bright enough to understand how wrong they are. That's why they're Republicans in the first place.

12. Maybe Hagel because he'll be running as the republican anti-Bush and
Lugar because Bush treated him like shit, the rest of them, all smoke and mirrors.
