Should we mount an aggressive campaign against Venus, non-existent Martians? This "he believes what he believes" argument people tend to make in his favor is nearly as insane as GW himself. Everyone believes what they believe, including madmen. Arianna Huffington, thank God, made the point on Scarborough tonight, that when what you believe is wrong and a lie, that is fanaticism. That he believes what he believes business drives me right round the bend.

Actually, I think the cause of "the bends" you allude to is in imagining what * is thinking. I,for example, like the interplanetary metaphor but simple planets won't due. I think he's imagining attack and conquest of hypothetic planets and stellar phenomena.
