I don't give either a vote of confidence. I don't think the Shi'a are interested in anything but a separate region for themselves. It is not in their interest to hold Iraq together and they are overseeing the break up of that state.

1. Maliki will deliver troops to take out the Sunnis--when it comes to the Shiites--forget it.

They'll help us as long as it's in their interest. We'll be sort of doing the Shiite's work for them. If they start to take on the Mahdi Army, so many of the Iraqi security forces moonlight for Al Sadr's death squads, I wouldn't be surprised if the Iraqi troops turned on our guys.

Malaki will probably be killed himself the way things are going. I thought Iraq was a nation free to decide it's own battles, yet bush is still giving them orders and asking them to hurry it up and make nice or he's going to get mad.
