My solution for stabilizing Iraq:

1. Provoke Iran to attack Iraq.

2. Withdraw ahead of Iranian troops and get out of Dodge.

3. Iran will occupy Iraq and be responsible for controlling the violence.

4. Bonus: Iran will be so tied down in Iraq we won't have to worry about either country.

Thats actually a good idea.

One thing to consider though is that whole region has been embroiled in conflict for as long as Islam has been there. It probably wouldn't take much seeing as they already hate each other, their neighbors, the neighbors kids, the neighbors religion, etc. You know what I would have liked to see the President say last night, is how stupid and backwards the Muslim religion is. That would have been the greatest thing he could have done, rather than blowing smoke up everyones' ass.
