So Where's The Resignation, President Bush?
Talk is cheap ... especially when you're a president who is as truth
challenged as this one.

If "The Responsibility Rests With Me," then take that responsibility in a
way that means something, Mr. Bush ... RESIGN.

If "Mistakes Were Made," if you misread intelligence and the
consequences have been thousands of American casualties, the
squandering of hundreds of billions of dollars in borrowed national
treasure and an endless military debacle .. or if there is even a whisper
of doubt that you were less than forthcoming about the need for this
war .. if your poor decisions and general incompetence have made this
war the disaster it is, then morally you really have no other choice.

Show that you understand the true significance of your mistakes.

RESIGN.

Otherwise your words mean nothing.

6. Be a whole lot easier to impeach Cheney
Best we let Little Shrubbins take his own self out of the picture through resignation.

2. We've learned nothing
How stand I then . . . while, to my shame, I see
The imminent death of twenty thousand men,
That, for a fantasy and trick of fame,
Go to their graves like beds, fight for a plot
Whereon the numbers cannot try the cause,
Which is not tomb enough and continent
To hide the slain?

4. Feel free to use this one

You can change Watergate to Plamegate and Viet Nam to Iraq and it will work just fine.
"So effective noon tomorrow I will resign the presidency."
Oh how I long to hear those words again!

7. That won't work. It would need further editing.
Nixon commented about how 100 million people in the Middle East, who had considered us their enemy for more than 20 years, now looked on us as friends. Bush would have to reverse those.

take the streets. That day is coming soon.
