Apparently he's highly alarmed because there is a growing movement to de-fund this unmitigated disaster.

McCain is a s deluded as his Idiot in Chief. Dems would be hailed as heroes who saved countless lives by getting US out of Iraq. After all, that's the MAIN reason we were elected into the majority, :eyes:.

I just hope they have the cajones to do it. In my opinion, they will be forced to impeach if this drags on much longer.

Bush is sending troops there before they can say they're not going to fund a surge. Even Ted Kennedy said this morning that once those troops get into Iraq, Congress will fund their operations and not leave them stranded without body armor etc.. He's trying to get his resolution passed to compel the president to get congressional approval before the troop surge actually happens, but I don't know if he'll be successful quickly enough because of influential people like McCain running interference.
