* going to Fort Benning, Georgia to visit troops - pics

U.S. President George W. Bush departs the White House in Washington on his way to Fort Benning, Georgia, January 11, 2007. Bush bucked public opinion and the new Democratic Congress with a gamble on more U.S. troops in Iraq, setting up a bruising political fight that could sink his fellow Republicans. 1. I bet the entire post is on "lock down"
And since less than 50% of troops claim The Party of Death (Republicans), those senior officers in Fort Benning's Public Affairs Units best screen those troops carefully. IMO, I'm guessing with increased bloodshed, it's going to getting dicey (unpredictable) even among audiences previously assumed to be kool-aid right wing faithful, i.e., gung-ho combat troops. That is, looking toward your 3rd deployment into that hellhole does not bode a bright future. :(
