the embryos once they're born. Just yesterday they were taking food from the born embryos' mouths by trying to block a minimum wage increase. Health care? Fuhgeddaboudit. In addition, if they truly believed their embryo worship, they would fight to prohibit IVF so they wouldn't be created in the first place, knowing dozens would be tossed in the trash. This is one debate that drives me totally crazy. Blah, blah, blah . . . "my constituents shouldn't have to pay for this if they don't believe in it." But from the unborn. This is the thing that makes it the most obvious that they're completely full of shit. When I was pregnant and unemployed under Bush I, the Republics did NOT give a rat's ass about my fetus, other than to lie to me under the guise of assistance at a Crisis Pregnancy Center. I went there to find out how to get medical care while I was pregnant, thinking surely they'd know. All they wanted to do was urge me not to have an abortion. As soon as they realized I was already planning on having the kid, they showed me the door.

Luckily, I found lesbian outlaw midwives who attended my illegal home birth. Otherwise, both the fetus and I might have died. But I got no medical care during my pregnancy. None. The most MediCal would cover was a blood test.
