Senator George McGovern to Join House Democrats,
Military Experts in Congressional Forum on Iraq

WASHINGTON, D.C. - On Friday, January 12th former Senator and Presidential Candidate, George McGovern and Dr. William Polk, Middle East expert, will join Members of Congress, as well as experts from the diplomatic, military, and intelligence fields to discuss the specific, time-bound McGovern-Polk Iraq Plan, as recently published in their book entitled Out of Iraq: A Practical Plan for Withdrawal Now. The event, which is co-sponsored by the Congressional Progressive Caucus and the Out of Iraq Caucus, will be held in 345 Cannon. The forum is open to members of the public and the press.
