IMPORTANT!!!! WHO is NOT running for President?
Geesh...Chris Dodd?
Vilsack?
Hillary?
Edwards?
Obama?
Biden?
etc etc etc

Ought to make the primaries "interesting".
Undoubtedly the big names will split the vote and we will get stuck with someone really stupid who can't poor piss out of a boot.
I agree with Bill Maher. There should be a test for those wishing to run for President.

15. As long as they don't want Robert Van Winkle to be Defence Secretary
That wouldn't be cool

me. The world is worse off in the first case, and better off in the second.

11. I've ofter thought that there should be some
bare minimum for being eligible to run for presdident over and above being a US citizen and over 35 years of age. I mean some kind of achievement and experience in public affairs or public service. I would think that to be considered for the most important job in the world (or at least most powerful) you would need to have to demonstrate a great deal of ability and achievement. Having said this, some of the "best" Presidents we've had have been some of the shortest on public experience, for example Abraham Lincoln with only one term in the House of Representatives, or Woodrow Wilson with only two years as a governor of a small state. But then both of these Presidents involved the country in long and bloody wars, for better or for worse.

14. How about an IQ test also?
I bet **** would have failed. No way GHWB and the rest of the cabal can buy a higher IQ.

19. Not until after his book comes out in May
That's when "An Assault on Reason" comes out. Hopefully, he will have already trained 1,000 people to do the AIT presentations by then so he concentrate on saving the world as US President.

about whom there had previously been the most speculation (with a slight questionmark over Gore).

Plus, of course, lots of other people who were never considered.
