Hagel: Bush speech worst blunder since Vietnam
WASHINGTON, Jan 11 (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush's plan to send about 21,500 more U.S. troops to Iraq is the greatest U.S. foreign policy blunder since Vietnam, Nebraska Republican Sen. Chuck Hagel said on Thursday.

"I think this speech given last night by this president represents the most dangerous foreign policy blunder in this country since Vietnam if it's carried out," Hagel, a possible U.S. 2008 presidential candidate, told a congressional hearing. "I will resist it."

5. Exactly my thought.
That's not conviction speaking, that's campaign speaking.

3. If it's carried out... little did we know
That it had already begun.

Good to see so many Republicans waking up to whiff the cappuccino.

6. Hagel, not McCain or Guiliani, would be the toughest republican to beat in '08

At least then IF we lose (which I doubt at this point), I won't fear for a nuclear holocaust.

Giuliani scares me a little. Look how he treated his ex-wives.

McCain truly frightens me. He looks mentally unstable. Even people on the right agree he is not fit to be President. The Darth Vader/Luke Skywalker tirade and his outbursts suggest mental illness.
