Colin Powell's famous warning - "you break it, you bought it"

Brilliant. Really. Think about it. He put in five words the outcome of Bush's disastrous misadventure/folly entered into on behalf of Those We Will Never Know who sat in a room one day with Dick Cheney and divided up the spoils of Iraq on a map.

And now we look at the shattered pieces on the floor.

We could do the right thing - bring the pieces we could find and ask the cashier -" hey- how much do I owe you? I want to point out that it's damaged." (We're hoping they'll forget that we have broken a few other things in the past in this same store)

If we're lucky, they'll give us a great big discount and forget that we were the one who knocked it off the shelf in the first place. If we're not lucky, they'll tell us we're no longer welcome in the store and we can take our dollars elsewhere.
