Did you do everything you could?

That is the question that I am asking myself over and over tonight.
Did I do enough to stop this or would it not have mattered how much I did or didn't do?
Tonight, I am lighting a candle for Cindy Sheehan.
I know how she can answer this and I am grateful for her sacrifice. Before it's all over, my guess is that people who never supported her mission will figure out they backed the wrong horse and wished to hell they hadn't.

2. I could have done more in the past

But for this past election I volunteered many hours and donated hundreds of dollars. I plan to do it again for 08 and will do much more.

I want to be able to HONESTLY say that I did what I can with the political process, should it come to the more violent side.

I worked my butt off for the 2006 campaign. Now, I wait a bit and see if it bears fruit.

Maybe it is not enough in the end, but it is what I could do within the political parameters.

The jury is still out for me.

And, of course, there is more before violence.
