17. Yes, she has a cousin named Connie Rice...
who is a liberal. I saw her on NOW with Bill Moyers, she's a very interesting lady.

6. I have never watched Fox News and never will but I watched.....
that clip on youtube and can't believe how incredibly stupid those three commentators are. It's no wonder their followers are so uninformed and they must certainly be gullible.

8. LOL....I kept expecting them to say
"How dare that evil Barbara Boxer make fun of poor Miss Rice being a childless spinster! Don't they know how painful it must be for her to know she will never be a complete woman by having kids and taking care of a husband? Shame on you, Barbara Boxer, your evil harridan!"

10. Fox Blocked
Edited on Fri Jan-12-07 03:07 PM by 502WildcatDem
LOL - We are going to be hosting my Mother in law for a few weeks who is a crazy wing nut Fox news disciple. I've taken it upon myself to block out Fox news from every TV in our house as well as the channel that airs the 700 club. I also had thought about making it to where she was forced to watch Cspan while we are at work so she can actually see for herself what is really happening in this country. Am I being cruel? Do I care?

23. I blocked it on mine to send a message.

I would bet marketers can get stats from the cable company on which channels are most frequently blocked.

14. Ok...
First of all they claimed that Boxer didn't ask any questions...

Then they complain that Boxer asked the "Impossible" question of "How many causualties we're likely to have?"

In a point of fact the Pentagon always does estimates on Force Depletion when it undertakes a mission. It may not be an exact number, it may only be an estimate. Generally speaking we've had an average of 120,000 troops in the region for 4 years with 3000 casualties. That's about 2.5%. 2.5% of 21,500 is 537.5 - which would be the worst case scenario if the level of violence stays where it has been on the average for another 4 years. Over a single year - about 110 people.

See is that hard?

They also claim that Boxer attacked Rice for being single and not having any children when she said "You won't pay the price in this conflict". This was immediately after she pointed at that her own children are too old to serve, and her grandchildren are too young - so she wouldn't be paying the price either. It was not any sort of attack on Rice for being a shrivelled up spinster pinning away into old age for her play husband The President.

Another letter - "I'm totally disgusted with this Anti-American Attitude from the Loony Left-Wing, known as the Dumb" (nice bi-partisan intro there pal) "Barbara Boxer and her ilk should be ashamed and they have no business trying to lead the country".

Yeah, they only kicked your wing-nut ass in the last election that's all. A threat that Rice completely ignored until it was far too late.

Then they went to mail where their little minions wrote it that Boxer insulted a "honored and respected Secretary of State who has more class than will ever have." We are talking about "that information was historical in nature" here right?

What that memo actually said was.

"After U.S. missile strikes on his base in Afghanistan in 1998, Bin Laden told followers he wanted to retaliate in Washington," the document stated.

The document further stated that the New Year's Eve 2000 plot to bomb Los Angeles International Airport may have been bin Laden's first attempt at a terrorist strike inside the United States.

"Al-Qaida members -- including some who are U.S. citizens -- have resided in or traveled to the U.S. for years, and the group apparently maintains a support structure that could aid attacks," the document said.

That's not very "Historical" to me, that's a description of an impending domestic threat.

Then another letter "I'm totally disgusted with this anti-American attitude from the loony left-wing - known as the Dumb-o-crats" (Nice bi-partisan we're-all-in-this-together intro there) "Barabara Boxer and her ilk should be ashamed and I think they have no business trying to lead the country".

Yeah, except for that pesky election where the "loony-left" kicked your boney wing-nut asses.

Another letter "I don't understand exactly what the Democrats think the military is for".

I think Patton said it best - when he pointed out that the military is not there to die for it's country, it's there to make sure the other sumbitch dies for his country. The problem in Iraq is - Which Sumbitch? The Sunni or the Shia?

And then Chris Wallace has to come on and say "The mood here is getting ugly".

Whaddayamean "Getting" after the stint of Tom "The Hammer" Delay?

Classic "Kiss-Up Kick-Down" Faux News B.S.

Vyan

19. Everyone has a right to their own opinion....
But unless your opinion is founded on carefully considered facts, you do not have the right to have your opinion taken seriously. The lofty heights of the soapbox is for those who've earned the right to be there.

That's a huge problem these days, and maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like it's something new, this everyone's opinion counts thing. Most people are incapable of real thinking. Every thought they have ever had is borrowed from someone who is really only telling them what they want to hear so that he may manipulate the beejesus out of them. I believe in the people, IF the people are informed. The problem too often these days is the deliberate lying (commission and omission) that goes on by those seeking power directly or to support power for self-interested reasons.

Until we can get a handle on this stuff, I think the uninformed "man on the street" needs to STFU.

They asked BRITNEY SPEARS for her opinion on the Iraq "war". !!!???!!!
