The Evil showed faces on C-SPAN
Edited on Sat Jan-13-07 04:02 PM by PretzelWarrior
it was a lesson in contrasts as I watched THursday's Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearings with people like John Kerry and Joe Biden going after Condeleeza and then watching that crew of GOP thugs still sticking around who were so preposterous in their statements at yesterday's Senate Armed Service COmmittee hearings attended by such assclowns as McCain, Lieberman, Cornyn, Lindsay Graham, etc. etc.

I cannot believe the anger that welled up in me as I heard these people once again spout the implications that Democrats don't have a plan and won't do the right things for our troops.

I realize that they are dealing with a new guy brought in for a fresh look when they question the new Sec of Def. but I believe the Democrats were way to circumspect and easy on these guys and this bogus plan. Still, I don't have anything against my Democratic leaders in that committee.

What bothered me to no end and what brought back such horrible flashback was hearing some of these Republicans spout their disgusting rhetoric even while in a position of weakness, and I realized what we are up against. If we are stupidly blind and don't see that we must CONTINUE our outrage and continue our support of Democratic candidates for the next cycle, we will see this evil ogres take back a majority and further disenfranchise the AMerican people from representation.

What is going on these past few weeks in the federal government is an absolute repudiation of our will as people in the United States of America. It is well understood that Iraq is the key issue that tipped power to Democrats but Bush petulantly and criminally decides he will fight on in an unwinnable war.

I say we must write to our congressmen and women. We must speak to each other and our neighbors in the streets to say yes indeed we all DO feel so angry and want change. We must speak to people through our letters and emails to newspapers, television, and every where we can spread the word that these Republicans failed us as Americans and we need to support the Democrats and support our OWN interests in government. Crucial in all of this is forcing our representatives to destroy all of the provisions that allow monied lobbyists such control of our leaders.

Inhofe I saved for last. He may have been outraged by our outrage over Abu Graib. He may be convinced by the BRIBE $$$ from oil and gas that there's no global warming. BUt I know he is an enemy of the state. He is a horrible boil on the buttocks of U.S. federal government and he should be dealt with swiftly. People need to investigate him and others into the ground and get them away from the seat of power. Clearly his dumb as bricks constituency won't do it....so we must. Please rid our government of such horrible waste's of space.

THat is some of my thoughts after watching so much TV on the public workings of our government. I pray we can fully consolidate these recent victories into a momentum toward sanity in this country again.

1. Inhofe is an oil company hack wrapped in a Jesus costume..
I just KNOW he's going to get caught in a scandal. If we had a media that investigated these corporate criminals, all these bastards would be behind bars.

Look at Mitch McConnel. His wife Wendy was up to her neck in the Enron scandal but she wasn't even questioned. We have to keep a close watch on the senate. Our Dems aren't going to bust their "colleges" unless we make them.

Great rant K&R!

3. they MUST go after him. besides, he's an idiot
when he talks he doesn't even sound polished or many any sense. He's of the Ted Stevens school of governance. Be an absolute dipsh!t but bring home the bacon.

If any of you Oklahoma Dems have some insight into him, I'd like to know. FOr me, the idea ANYONE would try to stand up and defend the Abu Graib torture by accusing the accusers I find to be the main flag I will hold up as I seek to have him exposed.

2. the law of unintended consequences
If we all truly fulfilled our collective duty as citizens we would have stormed the White House some time in mid 2002 and thrown these traitors out.

Our response thus far as a country has been tepid sleepwalking, but we are beginning to wake up.

Our duty is just beginning, as we are now bound to participate in our government AT ALL LEVELS for at least the next ten years to undo all this damage and get America and the World back on track for truth justice fairness generosity honesty and a better world for all that inhabit it in the future.

We have a lot of work to do and the last five years have given us a taste of the consequences of not giving a shit and letting the other guy do it.

Americans must participate in their own government AT ALL LEVELS OR DIE!

-85% Jimmy

(the unintended consequence is Bush not realizing his terrorist actions created the energy needed for Americans to TAKE BACK THEIR COUNTRY , VALUES, IDEALS and foremost, THEIR CONSTITUTION!)

4. agreed about the need to wake from sleep
I like what I'm seeing described as a suburban populism. We could well see the opening for a huge majority in the house and widening lead in the Senate besides taking back the WH in 2008.

We must remind each other that what we've been going through....the FoxNews bullshit....the talk radio bullshit is not real life. Bush and Rove have created a dynamic of bitter partisan ship and political calculation in literally everything they did.

We must ensure our majority is increased while also riding the Bush family into oblivion. THey may have powerful allies, but the people as a mass are much more powerful and strong. If we align the people with the facts, we can make Bush the most hated and reviled man to walk around the U.S. for generations.

SPEAK THE TRUTH. YOU SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE!
