NPR reporters says "some in the administration" are starting to use this term instead of the War on Terror.

1. They started using that term about three years ago, actually.
For some reason it never caught on.

3. oh that's just great...
The Long War is one of the names for the United States' War on Terrorism. While President George W. Bush has referred to "a long war", others in the administration have referred to it as "the Long War", thus putting the conflict, at least terminologically, on the same level as the 50-year Cold War. It has also been criticized as a "perpetual war," without any clear ending.

perpetual war is just wonderful, too.

6. More accurate. The war that bu$h ignited will last for a century or more
He opened pandora's box messing with the middle east.
This region has a long history of century long wars that thanks to the bu$h regime we are now at the very dawn of a new long war in the middle east.

God forgive us for what we have done.

9. Donald Rumsfeld predicted "...a long hard slog..."
so with the "surge" and all maybe Freud was right about a few things-these war criminals, in plain english, have got to GO-they must leave/be removed from office and held accountable for their crimes.

It means our kids will be killed or shredded, people.

And for BushCo cronies.

No way can I sit back for that. Think about the kids on your block. Which ones will you give to Halliburton?

Impeach Bush/Cheney
