What if we changed the locks at our White House?
The next time bush and cheney leave the white house, which is frequently, we just have the locks changed. It's OUR white house, we should change the locks, like any self respecting landlord would do when you have a shitty tenant.

Either that, or simply block the doors and prohibit entry of any scumbags or reprobates.

It's OUR white house. It's OUR nation. Change the locks.

2. Since you mention that, I'm already wondering if he'll leave voluntarily.
Seriously. Or will he declare himself king and try to stay? I can't imagine Bush leaving of his own free will.

6. What if he mandates himself a third term?
Edited on Sun Jan-14-07 08:37 AM by Rock_Garden
He wouldn't be the first. I hope Congress is working on a contingency plan for that possibility.

At least there's one bright spot here. We're talking about the real end of Bushitude! Dancing in the streets, fireworks, national holiday, babies will be born nine months later - all that and so much more!

3. Change the locks with them inside? or keep them out? I am thinking

4. I suggested de-funding The White House staff...
starting with the kitchen help, and working up the foodchain to secretaries and Chief of Staff, until Bush promises to behave or quit.

Can we stop funding The Secret Service?

9. Bush has the chefs make him Kraft singles on Bunny bread anyway
Not that I have a problem with grilled cheese sandwiches, what he eats is his decision, but if that's what he's going to eat then why waste our money on a world class chef?

All joking aside, defunding the White House staff isn't a precedent I'd particularly like to set.

11. You can't served grilled cheese sammies at state dinners
Oh god. Tell me I didn't just call what Bush eats "sammies."

When President Clinton was in office, the Right liked to rip on the fact that he likes to eat McDonald's. And they liked to rip on the fact that the Edwards family has its anniversary dinners at Wendy's. Bush doesn't even have THAT much dignity. This fucker eats Spaghetti-Os and grilled cheese on white bread--the kind of thing you serve your kid for lunch.

But yeah, when Shrub hosts one of his infrequent state dinners he's not allowed to serve Ball Park All Beef Franks to the president of India. He can't give a pork chop sandwich to the prime minister of Israel, and you know that if they'd let him, he'd serve Real Japanese Sushi to the president of South Korea and refer to the servers as "comfort women." (Google "comfort women.")

The simple fact is that our purported president is such a boor he'd serve hamburgers, beans and beer to international dignitaries then put his feet up on the table and start calling them childish nicknames to their faces after challenging them to a "human flamethrower" contest if we didn't have an executive chef and a whole staff to make him behave.

14. They can hire an outside caterer for state dinners
Edited on Mon Jan-15-07 01:39 PM by Hippo_Tron
And yea I remember when they criticized Clinton's eating habits and how people dressed casually in the west wing and drank coffee out of paper cups. Clinton actually had tastes very similar to typical middle class Amereicans and they criticized him because he wasn't an elitist like poppy.

Then you get W who has the tastes of a five year old and they criticize Kerry for being an elitist. Go figure...

BTW, I'll still have a grilled cheese or grilled ham and cheese every now and then but I'll pay the extra dollar to get cheese that is far better than Kraft singles.

12. Calling for a coup?
That sounds a bit ... radical.

Through the back door? Sneaky little pissant, that he is.

19. Does the White House even HAVE locks?
It's a logical question. People are in and out of that building at all hours, and there are armed guards at every door. It doesn't seem like you'd need to lock the White House.
