Why don't we start having protest where we DO march in the streets

My fiancee' suggested that we get our anti-war protest people to march instead of stand. And, I thought it was a really great idea. I bet people would come out of their houses and join us. Can you imagine, say, a group of 50 protestors walking through neighborhoods, downtown, whatever....

Maybe, a 24 hour non-stop march....Given that Bush wants to nuke Iran, it seems we need to become VERY visible & vocal...

We could call it that....VISIBLE & VOCAL....

I don't know. Just thought it was a good idea.

And I will, in DC on the 27th. Sorry I wasn't marching in 2002, but I sure wanted to! Haven't marched since the early '70s, but this isn't nostalgia. This is even more essential now than then.

The blood supply to my left hip was damaged because of a car accident, and I had surgery to repair that. It has helped a lot, but it still ain't right. Good to hear of yet another success story.

College campuses could do it. Any group could do it.

11. You have to disrupt commerce.

The march can't be on a Saturday afternoon. It has to be on a Monday in the morning.

You have to have enough people to block bridges, delay deliveries, block access to banks, prevent people from getting to work, etc. We're need to be walking down the middle of major roadways, and walking slowly.

I imagine 25,000 people in each of 10 major cities could make a point that would get noticed.

The neo-cons will not care until it affects their MONEY.

Standing around with banners in a free speech zone is pointless.

12. It's a great idea and title

We need possibly a march from the west coast to DC and from the north down to DC and from the south up to DC .

A march from all directions , one that keeps building in vast numbers until we all meet up in DC . Pick a route and block the main highways through the major cities on the way .

It would work if we can take the time to walk that distance .

I know this sounds nuts but it would be great if we could pull it off .

It's on 2/4/07 in Miami. Security is going to be tight but if you had enough people in would definitely make some noise.
