Bush says Iraqis should be "THANKFUL"
Edited on Mon Jan-15-07 03:28 AM by nonconformist
Bush: Congress can't stop troop increase

<snip>
He said Iraqis should be thankful for all the United States has done for them since the invasion nearly four years ago.

"I think I am proud of the efforts we did," Bush said.

"We liberated that country from a tyrant. I think the Iraqi people owe the American people a huge debt of gratitude. That's the problem here in America: They wonder whether or not there is a gratitude level that's significant enough in Iraq."
<snip>
But despite the mistakes, he said he did not feel he owes the Iraqi people an apology.

"Not at all," he told CBS.

much more here.... http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/01/14/bush.60.minutes/index.html

So now Bush thinks that the reason why support is weak for his war is because the Iraqis aren't "grateful" enough to the American people.

It reeks of those Texas ranchhouses where the ultra-wealthy gather after the canned hunt to plan assassinations.

7. How does Bush want them to demonstrate their gratitude?
Giving their hot eligible daughters to Bush friends and family?

Showering US corporate barons with oil?

Erecting a giant bronze statue of Bush in a flight suit with a stuffed package in the middle of Bahgdad?

What a dumbass...

8. I felt enraged after hearing that remark.
They should feel "grateful " for having their country all but destroyed ! grateful for having to live like dogs, have their families slaughtered. To my mind, he is responsible for every death that has occured in Iraq. He started it with a lie and is still a liar. Not one word he utters is true. This is way beyond Dr. Strangelove.

For example a pedophile will say: That 3 year wanted me to have sex with her.

As long as you understand abnormal psychology, Bush's behavior makes perfect sense.

For the Civil War in my country

For those soldiers who raped, murdered, and then set the body of my niece, Abeer Qassim Hamza, on fire in an attempt to cover up the evidence

For the corrupt puppets

For the corrupt contractors

For the Death Squads

For torturing me in Abu Ghraib prison

And I thank you for liberating me from my body."

28. Thank you Sir, may I have another?
Apologies for the subject. Wisecracks are easy, solutions are hard.

I feel like we have an unwilling brain-surgery patient on the table, we've sawed a hole in the head, and now we realize we're not surgeons. So what do we do? Walk away? Get a book on brain surgery and try to fake it? Bring in more non-surgeons to help?

We took away the only stabilizing force in Iraq (hanged a few days ago), and now all factions want to kill each other as soon as we pull out.

Do we just walk away and let the region go genocidal? Some days, that's exactly what I think we should do. Like today.

The only reason we're there is to line BushCo pockets and to do so at any cost.

31. Maybe, or maybe we're the only thing preventing
a genocidal land-rush by Syria, Turkey, Iran. (I think Saudi Arabia would rather sit quiet and pull the puppet strings).

But I agree we should get out. Maybe turn it over to the UN to keep a lid on genocide, they do so well in Darfur.

37. The UN is largely our sock puppet or at times, our strawman.
We haven't exactly been leading the way in Darfur.

I don't know enough about the three countries you mention to comment. Turkey seems to be fairly stable except for the problem of the Kurds. Iran, iirc, doesn't have a history of invading its neighbors. Syris, I have no idea.
