5. How can you watch it on the internet?
I know Desperate Housewivesalways says if you missed their show you can go to ABC, but I didn't know any other shows did that?

8. You can view several programs the day after they air...
Unfortunately, Boston Legal is not among them.

11. Most powerful moment (IMHO):
After Shirley gave her slap-down of how much we expect of teachers and "no wonder" so many of them quit after 5 years.

Then, after the verdict, when they offered to help the defendant get her teaching job back, and she said she was going into Real Estate - awkardly.

As she talked about what a "good opportunity" this would be, you could tell she was still trying to convince herself. You could tell she only wanted to teach - but she just couldn't anymore.

Powerful.

14. I want to salute you as I would a member of our Armed Forces:
Thank you for your service!
:patriot:

OK, I know the best teachers do it for the love of teaching and not for the money, but if we don't want to increase teacher's salaries how about increasing funds for teacher support? Teachers are expected to do so much outside of "teaching", how about hiring some support personnel to handle those other details so that Teachers have time to actually Teach?

And can we somehow communicate to parents that Teachers are not "babysitters" or "surrogate parents"?

For instance, the whole "God in education" debate. Excuse me, it is not the Public School teaher's job to teach my child religion or spirituality - that's my job.

Too many people want schools to raise their children for them. The sad thing is, they don't know what their missing out by not being "parents".

Sorry, I got a little carried away there - but, DAMN! Parents, it's YOUR job to raise your children! No, it's not easy, but who ever said it was?

PS, this is why I am a Trainer in the private sector and not a public school teacher. That, and the money is better. I like teaching, and there is no nobler profession. But there's no way I would do it under the present circumstances.

17. Teachers also spend a good portion of their own money
to buy supplies for their classroom.

Before school this year, I know I spent about 500 dollars on crayons, colored pencils, construction paper, scissors, ect...

Today, we were making paper cranes after reading the story of Sadako and the 1000 paper cranes and the little twits thought it would be fun to break my crayons into pieces and throw them around the room.

16. They only used to knock the RW with one issue each show.
Now they are upping the ante and really throwing the book at them. The Homeland Security part of Denny being on the no-fly list was classic. They made the whole idea look as stupid as it probably is.

20. And isn't funny that...
this article appeared today:

U.S. to let people apply to get off no-fly lists

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070117/us_nm/security_watchlists_dc

Denny said he had called Tom Delay, Jack Abramoff and Frist w/no help. But the kicker was when someone said, then take it to the top... cheney!

I also loved the judge in the no-fly case.

I never miss it, but this one was particularly good. There was also a "You're doing a heckuva job" zinger in there.
