The bush twins can't go to Iraq because of the Secret Service
A cspan caller lady just said this. This is the actual reason she gave for the bush twins not enlisting, it would just be too much trouble to drag the secret service along into battle.

Our nation is the world's largest producer of idiots.

1. Of course
Every day now for the past three years, the twins have been begging daddy to let them join the Army and fight the patriotic and courageous fight he is leading but the secret service just won't let it happen. They have republican blood running through their veins, of course they are patriotic.

13. Isn't McCain's son going to Iraq?
This is just a setup for McCain's presidential campaign. The more it is harped on the more he can work it to his own benefit.

4. Then they can volunteer at Walter Reed
That would certainly teach them a few lessons about reality.

6. yes, that would bring back to reality.
they are just spoiled girls, probably as ignorant and arrogant like their father, who feel as though society owes them something.

9. Which explains why both LBJ's sons-in-law went to Nam.
Really don't want those spoiled brats in the service. Does anyone believe they would be subject to routine discipline or regs? First time anyone tried to brace them, anyone would be sent to the 'Russian Front'.

10. In all fairness, if I wereserving active duty, I wouldn't want either
of the twins in MY unit! Serving aat Ramestein where they first take all the severly wounded could be a big help though!

14. They would never meet the minimum waiver requirement
Trust me. I was a recruiter at one time, and these girls simply have too much police involvement, too many alcohol related incidents, and too many charges like "underage drinking" to ever be granted a waiver for enlistment. Not to mention any "admitted" drug usage we would need to know about.

We used to call girls like this "Fluff". We couldn't put them in the Navy, but they were cute enough to hang around the recruiting station and draw young males in the door.

15. The heir to the British throne serves as an officer in Iraq. Meanwhile...
The drunken socialite daughters of the man who thinks (barely) that he is By Grace of God King of These United States and Its Territories do not even enlist because of "security issues."

20. It takes a lot of 'bollocks' to call in and defend her mortal enemy,
... though, she knows not that THEY despise her, ridicule her, and see her as a disposable slave.

21. It is a voluntary military, so why should they go, if they don't want to
I understand the whole "if he wants a war, maybe his kids should go" line of thinking, but that's not how our military is, thank God. People who are not cut out for the military way of life don't have to be part of it.
