I've never seen gay people on the street saying "Be like us!", "Change your ways, straight people!", "Repent Now!"

The calls of "You're sick!", "You need help!", "Change your ways!", "Repent Now!", etc. only come from one group of people.

There aren't any groups that are created for the sole purpose of trying to find a way to turn straight people gay.

But, there are many groups that are created for the sole purpose of trying to find a way to turn gay people straight.

Gay people don't use discredited crackpots and false statistics to make straight people look like a bunch of deviants.

But, there are several individuals and groups that use discredited crackpots and false statistics to make gay people look like a bunch of deviants.

So, who's doing the real recruiting?

3. homophobes recruit by testing with 'joke' remarks

They test the waters with people to determine whether someone shares the
homophobic gene, and then they get together and pretend that they are
normal, projecting their genetic condition on any and all, testing with
'jokes' to see if people are 'normal' or 'take themselves to seriously'.
