2. I wonder if the IRS will lien thier effing properties
like they do many average Americans. Its ironic though, bushie's cronies in congress passed this tougher collection process and wallah the irs computer does know who works for whom. Karma is a bitch.

6. You see, it is OKAY for politicians to cheat, kill and steal.
Just not us common folk. Different rules for the elite class.

13. This just bites my butt. I have been audited several times and
on one occassion my CPA forgot to attend a meeting with the IRS. They came to my F____CKING front door with a subpoena. I am just so tired of our entire government acting like rules/laws are just for us little people and don't apply to them. I really think the IRS should be investigated - if they come after people like me, but can't seem to figure out where people like Falwell and Robertson get the money to buy their fancy cars and mansions, and can't figure out where these government people work, then they are not doing their damn jobs.

14. Not to be contrarian but...
White House staffers below the highest echelons are notoriously over worked and underpaid. And DC is incrediblly expensive place to live particulary if your job reuires you to be on call and in the office quickly.

I suspect junior staffers are upping their exemption to increase their takehome pay.

and then doing installment payments when the taxes are due.

its about $9,000 per staffer. No dependets and $100k a year will be about that much.

15. you can up your exemptions to 9 if you own a home
I also suspect these white house staffers did not think the irs would catch up with them because of their political affiliation. Maybe this will get the white house, I seriously doubt it, to pay attention to this over zealous aggressiveness by the irs to collect back taxes that bushie put in place. All this to pay halliburton. The irs is sending people to jail, taking everything they own, slapping huge penalties and fines on people. Its crazier than ever.

18. No doubt, except that the staffers did not anticipate the political hay to be made
by not addressing the issue in the first place.
