I think I have a solution
Conservatives say we have "no plan" or withdrawal of US forces is a "bad idea". Here's my idea...
Every Shia, every Kurd, every Sunni, even the pagans... You just won the Iraqi equivalent of the Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes! US troops arrive at your door with a giant oversized check for something like $10,000. First off, it will totally baffle them. Secondly, they could use the cash. The only danger is they can't accept the cash and then leave Iraq to open a convenience store in America with a bunch of cousins. They have to stay and spend their cash in Iraq. Poverty breeds militancy. End poverty, problem solved.
I bet we've already spent $10,000 for every man woman and child in Iraq fighting. Where has it gotten us? We are a wealthy country. Let's make them an offer they can't refuse!

Its like that guy who won the nobel prize transforming countries with small loans....Now we just need a guzillion dollars. ;)

edit: H-o-l-y crap! I just calculated the gazillion:

28,807,000 * 10,000 = roughly 280 billion dollars, right?

So we have already SPENT $10,000 on each Iraqi!?!?!?!?!?

2. With lots of embedded video.
So Americans can see us throwing our money away on foreigners instead of spending it here at home.

3. Randi was talking today about the costs
I think she said it has cost us about $45,000 for each Iraqi. Anyways, here is where she got a lot of her information from http://www.nytimes.com/2007/01/17/business/17leonhardt.html?_r=1&oref=slogin

5. Not loving this part of your post...
"can't accept the cash and then leave Iraq to open a convenience store in America with a bunch of cousins". Seems a tad racist :hi:

6. It sounds sensible to me!
If our government ever gave us each $1000K (fat chance) they'd
want us to spend it in the US and help our economy. We don't
like it when those immigrants send all their hard earned dollars
to Mexico. If we complained about that we wouldn't be considered racist...would we?
