Poll question: Should the Democratic party try and trade off Lieberman for one of the following Republicans
It is a shame that the biggest pro war guy in the Senate is also currently the most powerful. Should we do something about it? I don't know, there has to be some Senators on the other side who are better than Lieberman. Sure they may not be perfect, but at least they are not calling for thousands of more troops (ok not McCain, but who cares what he thinks).

1. Screw LIEberMe and the rest of them.
We'll pick up more seats in 2008 and dump his sorry ass. He's a repuke like the rest of them.

Nothing is worth throwing away the Senate majority we have worked so hard to achieve. Nothing is worth losing control of committees and subpeona power. Lieberman is annoying because he is on the wrong side of this war. Religious fanaticism means he cannot see any peaceful solutions when it comes to dealing with the Muslim world. That's a major issue, but it is just one issue. Switching to the Rs will not change that. On the other hand, he agrees with most of us about 75% of the time. Can't say that about any of the Rs listed.

6. I agree.
Nothing is worth throwing away the majority, and I am surprised how many people are clicking that. I think they are just angry though and don't really mean it. I know that on a issue by issue basis, Lieberman is better than every person I listed. But he is dead wrong on the most important issue. I know he has been bluffing the higher ups by claiming he would switch. I almost think it would be better to call him on his bluff and bring over someone like Snowe or Gordon Smith. Having Lieberman as the Chairmen of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security is horrible. Lieberman is doing more harm right now than any of the other people I mentioned (Except McCain) could, in my opinion.

4. I'd love to say "screw him, we don't need him"
but unless 1 repuke switches parties... we have to keep him.

The senate committee chairs are just too important to lose.
