Nationality test: Can you pick what country these women are from?

I'm inspired to post this because of a comment I read in a "locked" thread that stated in so many words that the Op writer should not be profiled in an airport by TSA because she didn't look Muslim. Well---me-thinks that it's damn near impossible to profile somebody as a Muslim---it's like trying to profile someone in America as a Lutheran.

So a simple test: Can you tell where each of these women are from just by looking at their picture? Click on the link below each picture to see if you were right.

4. In all but one case, I was either on target or one country off.

For example, I made the mistake of thinking one of the women was from Afghanistan and one from Saudi Arabia. I was way off on woman #2.

...what country someone calls their own. Any one of those people could be Americans or just about any nationality these days. Assuming you can tell by appearance alone is illogical.

Concerning the OP, I may not be good in things like this, but I thought that at least one woman from this pic with the two women from Iraq looked Italian.

Anyway, I had to look for the other thread that lead to this thread...wow, what an embarrassment. From what I read, the security staff only tried to do their job but the reaction was just so out of line.

I'm using both... I'm just saying that if you can't tell where these women are from---then how can you choose what religion they are. Now I'm not saying just because you're from Iraq you've got to be Muslim.... I'm just saying that profiling someones religion is impossible since it's pretty impossible to pick where they were born.

21. Shouldn't we be trying to figure out their religion and not where they are from?

The locked thread spoke of a person being a Muslim, not of a person being from Indonesia, Pakistan, India, etc.

In any event, I got 3½ out of 5 (I gave myself the ½ because I had two choices for the last one, one of which was correct). Number 2 really threw me (the reddish looking hair made me think European, specifically, Irish).

Were I to guess religion, I would guess:

1: Buddhist
2: Catholic (Irish)
3: Muslim
4: Buddhist
5: Catholic

I do think that a highly trained specialist could get both right most of the time (similar to Israel's Mossad).
