I actually think McCain is dead in the water for 2008 but if you want to remember why you hate him, the article has some of reasons.

(I think he doesn't have a chance because he no longer has his "straight talk express" image which is why the media and independents loved him. Now he'll have to play to "the base" who hate him. And, he's too old.)

21. If Republicans want to make "character" a big issue again and their

supposed intent to bring "decency" back to government, like they claimed they wanted to do in 2000, it would be nice if this quote of McCain was on videotape. It would make for a great political ad. While I know it doesn't have anything to do with the major issues of the day, like Iraq, energy independence, or the environment, it certainly does reflect on his character and, if the Republicans want to make character an issue again, bring it on.
