I used to read his stuff all the time, and was happy that he made it so much longer than the docs said he probably would.

8. Only people who are totally
cofortable about death can do this. Humorous to the end.

I knew another columnists in my part of the world who wrote his own death announcement. It started with his name followed by 'died reluctantly' - that was priceless.

and Watergate.

He helped keep us all quite sane in insane times.
He went out of this world on his own terms.

Not a bad legacy, that.
