Having got off to a bad start in mid-2005 when she was pilloried by the US media for having little knowledge of the Middle East, Ms Hughes has maintained a low domestic profile since then, tending to channel her public message to the media of countries she is visiting. ...

But perhaps these overseas clerics are aware of the vast sweeps that took place in Muslim communities after 9/11, or the fact that no question many of them are being wiretapped, monitored, having their mail read, being denied boarding on flights because they're exercising their 'freedom to worship' in the boarding area, or tasered in university libraries because they're singled out for questioning. Maybe KKKaren can address issues other than the 'freedom to worship' canard with these overseas clerics.
