2004 Presidential Political Compass
What do you guys think of this? Looks as if conservative/mainstream Dems have more in common with the GOP than liberals in their own party! What does that say about us liberals if true?

1. Actually, by that type of compass even Kucinich would score closer to Bush

because of his old record of voting anti-choice and for flag-burning amendment. It would have no built in forgiveness for his change in positions.

That type of chart also doesn't recognize the most important, the most DIFFICULT, and the most thankless work that can be done by any member of congress - uncover, investigate and expose government corruption, and do it completely against the entire DC powerstructure, GOP and Democratic establishments.

No way does John Kerry have ANYTHING in common with George Bush. One seeks to centralize all power in his presidency while the other was the first to tear down the walls protecting the president by going to court against GHWBush to get hold of the PDBs needed to pursue the matters of Iran Contra and BCCI.

In fact, if you take Kerry out of the Senate, there would have been NO IranContra or BCCI investigations, and this country would be in its second decade of New World Order by now.

No difference, eh?

2. That's what I thought
I was thinking "how in the world is Kerry more similar to Bush?" He took stands that were more to the right of me..but nothing I really compared to Bush!
