My thoughts on the Jan 27th protests
I really hope there are vast numbers for starters ,

Here is what I was thinking .

Instead of the usual banners and posters or the orange torture uniforms perhaps something different this time even though this is a bit late .

Perhaps what we need is to be all in the same sort of uniform dress and show up in great numbers almost in silence except the the timed outburst of stop the killing , stop the war , we the people have spoken .

1. I like the idea
The war has gotten so bleak, being solemn seem an appropriate response. Is it possible to organize a large crowd to act such in unison. I hope it will be a huge rally.

3.  It is bleek
I thought if it were possible this would show the rest of americans how our future will look if we allow this dictatorship to continue .

Those who will be protesting well know all the horrors and problems associated with this war and the results within our own country .

So with a uniform semi silent protest sort of in the powerful mindset of 1984 , but instead of the support of the war , the protest of it .

6.  No , I have not
I just thought of this and I don't know if there is time for anyone to react even if they felt this was a good idea .

I also feel the protest in DC should be the main protest , this is where everything connects .

I will attempt to contact the caucas and offer my idea .

8. Sorry off topic, but Come to Fort Benning, Georgia
in November to protest School of the Americas. It is a quiet, quiet, solemn moving protest.

9. The protest has to have
Massive numbers, remember the media is probably only going to say one fifth of what the crowd numbers really are. I doubt if there will be any coverage at all.

I mean Shawn had a girlfriend when he was kidnapped, thats the real news story according to them.

11. I agree it must be big
I hope it is , I doubt the press will cover it unless there are outbursts and other arrests . Even then they will give a low number .

12. Write or Call all media, tell them be there or be square.
Don't email, writing or calling carries more weight. Tell them they are becoming irrelevant, but that you want to see the coverage of the protest. Tell them that it will be reported on our own media, DU, Youtube, etc. But that you think that they should get back into the game of reporting the news. Let them know that "Nero" is finished and the people are speaking. Cover the People.

13. I remember in 2004
Hearing CNN saying that Kerry got hundreds of poeple to a rally, Faux news said he got 1500 tops, looking at some photos on the web of the crowd, there seem to be at least 80 thousand people.

14. the whole point to this demonstration is to focus on the war
focus the end to this war, and focus on getting this madman out of office. Really, there are so many other issues out there, but the biggest problem is the illegal war.
