M O N E Y.

Candidate positions on issues and voting records are substantially less important than who has and can generate the most campaign money.

Democracy dollars are one of the most important factors, sadly.

3. I hope you're right.
I'm not sure how much money Mr. Schmo has left in the current economy. His credit card payments are pretty high and he's facing foreclosure on his mortgage in a stagnant real estate market.

2. MEDIA
is another important thing and the main reason the guy I want probably will not be the nominee. He's not female, black or "cute" (although, I think he's damn handsome, but he's not what the media thinks is cute), like our alleged frontrunners.

4. I think that's true, but
I think we're overselling that factor.

Despite the corporate media shills' best ongoing efforts, the public has seen through Bush and, I think, genuinely dislike him and his policies.

The media's power is like a cheetah's speed: It's very strong for awhile, but they can't sustain it for long periods.
