I wish Bill Clinton could run for President again.
He wasn't perfect, but he was pretty good and we'd know exactly what we were getting into. :bounce:

2. No thanks. Twice was plenty
I would rather not have to go through the Lewingsky scnadals, the triangulations that gave us Republican-lite policies, the money scandals of the 1996 elections and all that jazz.

No thanks. Have a nice retirement, don't come back.

3. I was thinking it would be a package deal. She helped when he
was prez and I thought (most likely) he would lend A LOT OF SUPPORT in many areas if she makes it. Maybe her advisor or better, a cabinet post....just my thoughts.

5. I liked Harkin and Brown in the Democratic primaries the year
Bill Clinton was nominated, having already been crushed that Mario Cuomo took himself out of the race at the very last minute.

I liked Bill Clinton best when the moralist prudes were trying to impeach him for lying about a blowjob.

The man is a great politican. I give him all his strengths.

But I'm not interested in having him back in that job, even if the Constitution were changed to permit it.

6. I'm a huge Bill Clinton fan but...
I think the Big Dog did his thing in his time. We as progressives have moved on now to a new style of politics that took both the House and Senate back. We need new candidates and new ideas to keep our majorities and take back the presidency in '08.

I don't think Hillary fits that description.

14. The new style of politics was the repukes imploding all over themselves...
People got sick of it. Hopefully, the dems don't blow it.

9. I don't. The list keeps getting longer why. It's not just because he's
the NAFTA-signing president. And, that's one strike that I have against Hillary. The NAFTA-signing president will be back in the White House.

17. i agree.
My slide out of the middle class began in the Clinton years. So it's been going on a long time.
The economy wasn't as great as some people said it was. There were mass layoffs and firings and NAFTA. And SHAFTA.

12. OMG!!! Political Apathy is beginning to look like the only sensible option.
You mean the same corporate-owned Clinton that brought us outsourcing? More and more it looks to me like neither Republicans nor Democrats have what it takes to save this country from utter collapse. Time to eat drink and be merry, and forget the whole mess.

19. I remember 8 years of not worrying some insane president was going to start a nuclear war
I slept like a baby knowing Clinton was in charge of the Nuclear Football.

Bill has that going for him.

I would vote for him again.
