Bush supporter spotted
I ws behind a car yesterday that had a "W04" sticker, a yellow ribbon sticker and a sticker that said "If you're still voting Democrat, you're stuck on stupid!"

It made me really angry. First, what is the underline emphasis on "you're" for? It seems unnecessary and doesn't make sense. And there is that whole thing about being called "Democrat" instead of "Democratic" which I understand is an insult (never quite understood that one, but know it is an insult nonetheless)

Then I thought "what frigging planet of denial is this person on?" It is amazing to me - the amount self deception required for a person to be driving around like this. Don't these people realize what time it is? Are they like Randolph and Mortimer Duke, thinking someone is going to "turn those machines back on?"

1. Reason for Underline
By emphasizing the 'you're' in this way, the driver is saying "I'm not the stupid one..." which makes me wonder how many times lately he/she has been called stupid for continuing to support his *ness.

2. Welcome to DU, Error! Some people obviously don't think for themselves
but vomit Rush's or Hannity's or O'Lielly's talking points. On a positive note, their numbers are dwindling.:toast:

4. You almost have to laugh
On at least one forum (and I'm sure this is still everywhere) I saw a freep saying how Dems were so out of touch with the mainstream. This comment was made AFTER the stomping they received in November. Talk about your denial of reality...

5. It's like the show is over

11. Not really
We were looking for real magic. They're looking for someone to affirm their racism and bigotry.

12. Hippies?
Nah, they're brash young twenty somethings, sitting in cigar bars and sipping plonk, grooving to the mellow tones of Tony Bennett, unaware they're listening to stuff produced in their great grandparents' day and the rest of the world has gone on without them.

6. I was leaving the gym a couple of days ago.
I saw this guy standing there reading my bumperstickers.

"Any working person who votes for a Republican is like a chicken supporting Colonal Sanders".

"Be patriotic! Inpeach Bush-Cheney!"

"If you aren't completely appalled, you haven't been paying attention!"

I asked him how he liked them.

He said,he did, and he's surprised more people aren't outraged. I asked him if he'd like one (I had a couple hundred of the impeach Bush-Cheney printed at Stickerjunkie.com). He said he'd love it.

I gave him one, and he walked over and put it on his car.

Sometimes, when I leave the gym, I have little notes on my windshield from wingnuts.

13. Here's another bumper sticker idea for the little notes
"Talk to me in person or you're a coward."

7. They now have figured out that they are in the minority and seen as stupid.
The bumper sticker is a juvenile way of saying "AM NOT! YOU'RE THE STUPID ONE".

I look at the W stickers as a an informal IQ and morality index.
The owner of the sticker is not too bright and has no moral compass.
What an embarrassment to advertise that so proudly.

They deserve pity, not anger.
