What do your independent and Democratic friends think about HRC's presidential aspirations?

Poll question: What do your independent and Democratic friends think about HRC's presidential aspirations?

I am always blown away by the fact that she leads so many primary polls, but I don't personally know a single person who is enthusiastic about her. Am I the only one who has this experience?

So what do your progressive independent and Democratic friends think about HRC's presidential aspirations?

1. I don't see the bile directed her way on DU and DKos

The Republicans I know hate her and genuinely fear her.

The independents I know are split, some being open-minded about her, others holding a negative reaction. (That said, most of the independents I know grew up in Republican-leaning households even they themselves lean Dem in their votes.)

The Democrats I know respect her and would vote for her in a presidential election but aren't very enthusiastic. They seem a lot more interested in other candidates and have concerns over her electability and a sense of fatigue and a desire for a newer face.

2. I don't know anyone who wants her to run. I don't, either.

I want her to wait until 2012, or preferably 2016.

I thought I mentioned that.

But if she runs now, and gets the nomination, I'll gladly vote for her.

3. Why folks think all women will vote for her is beyond me. ( see WP). I have real "feminist" roots

but don't think she's good for our country. Too divisive. I hate her stand on Iraq. She's too arrogant to even admit her original vote for the war was a mistake. Why does she think she has to ruin Howard Dean to make it? Her own judgment over the years is certainly questionable.

As much as I dream of having a woman for President, she's not it. Obviously, if she wins the nomination, I'll work hard for her, but I'm hoping she doesn't.

5. Most of the women I know are excited...

Some are conserv and others liberal, but most just love the idea of a woman president. We mostly agree on this: A tough strong woman could do no worse than the men who have ran this country into it's current state.

7. I have 5 women

working for me and 4 of them love her. The fifth one hates her but is a Republican and keeps her mouth shut. All the men I know, regardless of political leanings, dislike her. Personally I am neutral but I do not think she would have a prayer in the general election.

9. I have one friend who wants her to run,

just because she is a woman. I would love to see a woman president in my lifetime however I won't vote for any woman just to see that happen. Her stand on issues, not her gender, will be the deciding factor.

I will vote for Hillary if she is the nominee but she isn't in my top three picks.

Most of my progressive friends haves expressed similar or less enthusiasm.
