2. is this really a serious question?
Zell Miller is insane. No way would any true-minded democrat vote for him, especially after his treasonous assault in 2006.

4. I'm just trying to see how far people are willing to take
this position of absolute party loyalty, no matter who it is, so long as they have a "D" after their name.

6. I've often wondered what could stop me from voting for a Democrat
in 2008. I think I've found it.

8. I would, but then again I'm from GA.

Campaign slogan:
Miller - Still better than most Republicans.

9. Have to ask - what happened to the party so that Miller would get the
nomination?

Ridiculous/absurd premise.

10. I chose stay home
and staying home is not a betrayal of the party. If I voted, I would vote for Miller, even though it's probably a lot more likely that I'll be hit by a piece of debris from a crashing Chinese weather satellite than Miller getting the nomination.

12. Zell Miller vs. Lincoln Chafee
Party loyalty is great, but above all, I am loyal to this country first. If, say, the Republican opponent was Lincoln Chafee, wouldn't it make sense to vote for someone like Chafee over Miller?

I would. Party loyalty be damned. And I am a registered Democrat.

14. There's a number of Dems
that I would choose Lincoln Chafee over. It's a real pity that he hasn't got a shot at the Republic nomination.

If forced to choose between someone who voted for IWR and Patriot Act and someone who voted against, I'd likely go for principle over party.

13. Here's why I picked "shoot myself"
If our nation has devolved to the point something calling itself the "Democratic National Party" actually ran something like Zell Miller for President, I think shooting myself in the head would be preferable to living in this hellhole.

(Although truth to tell I'd probably just move.)

19. Locking.
Please don't post copycat threads in General Discussion.
They take up room in one of our busiest forums that would otherwise be available for discussions pertinent to our party and basic Democratic/progressive interests.

Since the poll stated is a nill possibility, we're going to lock on that basis.

Thanks.
