Looks like Soros is supporting Clark so far....

Soros Placing Chips on Clark
Not all his chips, of course. But it’s the biggest bet he’s placed yet. From The New York Sun:

George Soros is giving a financial boost to the political fortunes of a former four-star general, Wesley Clark, who ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2004 and is poised to mount another bid in 2008.

Mr. Soros gave $75,000 in July to a political group led by General Clark, Wes-Pac, according to a report filed yesterday with the Internal Revenue Service.

It is the largest known gift from Mr. Soros this year to a political organization affiliated with a contender for the presidency in 2008.

In April, Mr. Soros hosted a fund-raiser for WesPac at his home in Manhattan. General Clark also serves on the board of a nongovernmental organization supported by Mr. Soros, the International Crisis Group.

5. Do you have any link to support that claim?
Or is it just based on something other than evidence? Might be true, but you saying it is so is not evidence that it is so.

6. He gave Clark $75,000 and Obama $2,1000 - and Clark hasn't even announced yet.

I don't think that means he threw his money and support to Obama. $2,100 is a piitance - especially from a man like Soros.

Soros has also had quite a few dealings with Clark.

7. Oprah Winfrey Stated a few months back she would be supporting Barack Obama 110%!!!
Soros - Oprah - Matt Damon - Robert Deniro - Hollywood may display a wee-bit more soul in this election.

9. Wow, I'm impressed.
Clark would be an exciting candidate in my opinion. He has learned the ropes since running in 04. Since Soros has my respect that says something for Clark.

10. Isn't that the PAC Clark used to support the Fighting Dems?
The link is before the election, from October. Maybe Soros was helping in that way.

14. Clark/Obama would be a great ticket and
one that I could support. I've said before that we could use someone who has a little expertise in the military to fix it after * & Rummy destroyed it. I am a strong proponent for diplomacy and peace, but am realistic that the nation needs a military. I do think it has too many toys of death that have way too many bells and whistles on them. Clark has a strong background in military and diplomatic areas as well as a heaping helping of common sense and good ideas. Obama has common sense and will pull us into the next generation's needs and vision. They would be a good team.
