For those who think there is some desire by Congress to impeach, read this:

It is a discussion with four members, both Republican AND Democrats, of the Armed Services Committee.
Granted, CSIS that hosted this event is the think tank and bastion of people like Kissinger, Brzezinski, and many others of their ilk. But they likely represent the majority of both party reps that now sit in our Congress.

This talk basically regurgitates the same old stuff, but skip to the last full page (p.25) and read the question and answer. In their discussions there was no question by either the Republican or Democratic 'representatives' about our role and purpose for being in Iraq. Or even an issue with the lies that the public was told to get us there. Both party reps seemed to agree on this invasion of Iraq, and only differed in its operational fulfillment. The last questioner from the audience identified himself as being a member of LYM. I looked that up and think it stands for LaRouche Youth Movement. Nonetheless, the answer he got about impeachment is probably very much the majority thinking. Just a little dose of Washington reality for those hoping this Democratic Congress would be withdrawing from Iraq or impeaching the current regime.

2. Funny, that's precisely the sense I get from most of Congress

Too many of them still don't seem to know, or have the courage to say, that Bush** lied us into Iraq. Ignoring that fact makes it all the more difficult to deal with him and his plans now.

3. What do you mean? They point blank tried to tell the American people

that the reason they signed on for this war and empowered Bush was because they believed his lies.
Do you believe THEM? Or perhaps they were fully aware of and onboard with this invasion from the get-go. I seriously doubt there will be any impeachment, or withdrawal, or striking of the damaging legislative changes and policies, such as the Patriot Act. Sorry to say...

...then they weren't doing their jobs. Because there were a handful in Congress who managed to deduce that Bush** was lying and refused to vote for his war. I don't pretend to know why so many of them went along. But too many of that lot are still hesitant to come right out and accuse Bush** of lying. Naturally in that case I don't expect they'd go whole hog and impeach him or change his damnable policies. And that's all I was saying.

4. You're forgetting that Waxman and Conyers are going to start

investigating. With some proof of crazy crap going down the public will get more agitated and this will push congress to impeach. It won't happen overnight. But, it's only my prediction. I'm usually a pessimist.

10. Something that caught my attention:

Let me just say one little thing by way of introduction. One of the first things I
did when I came to CSIS – this was about six years ago – was we held a war game that
was called Dark Winter, and it simulated a smallpox attack on America, and it was very
realistic and very frightening. And I remember sitting in the middle of this National
Security Council meeting and it was truly scary, and I came to realize the only two
people at that table that I trusted were politicians. (Laughter.) Now, I say that very
intentionally. I mean it. It was true. I mean, we had people that had been former
Cabinet secretaries and deputy secretaries, but the only two people in that room were the
guy that was a sitting governor who was playing the role of a governor, and a former
senator was playing the role of the president – two politicians. And I came to realize
what a very, very powerful expertise it is that they have. It isn’t that these guys are
smarter than these experts that they bring around them in the National Security Council,
but they do something nobody else does. They go back and they talk to average citizens,
and they have to make sense to average citizens. And what a powerful thing that is.

So, the NSC held a war game called Dark Winter that they let certain priveleged think tanks attend. There's something very wrong about this.
Was there any Think Tanks involved with Dick's war games on September 11, 2001?
If so I wonder who would benefit by being ask for their input, or for whatever other reason they would be there!

They better start regarding investigation and impeachment as a career move. I am sick to death of Congress voting poorly and using their electability as an excuse. Well, this time the people have spoken and there is no excuse.
