Pissed off New Yorker Hilary rant
While I have no doubt Senator Clinton could probably be a competent and possibly even great President many of you know she is far from my first choice for our party but what really pisses me off now more than ever is now we have essentially an absentee Senator. IMO Hilary should have not run for reelection if she knew she was going to do this and given someone a lot of people were behind, Cindy Sheehan included, Tasini a chance at the office. Politicians on the job have no business trying to juggle both things. Its cheats thier constituents. Before the flames start I didn't like that Kerry stayed Senator either but I don't recall if he was up for immediate reelection or not.

1. Kerry was also an absentee
Kerry didn't spend much time in Washington when he was campaigning. Campaigning is pretty much a full-time job, and then some. Kerry made it back to DC for a few votes, but that's about it.

I don't think it's realistic to demand that only the unemployed should run for Prez. Anyone who gets the nomination is going to "ditch" their day-job for a while.

2. Yea...Tasini had a real chance
What did he get? 15 percent?

Even if Hillary had dropped out, your Senator would probably be someone like Spitzer.

3. "many of you know she is far from my first choice for our party"
No. I didn't know that.
