Jim Webb introduces new PAC - Born Fighting PAC
With the 110th Congress underway and the Senate finally addressing the critical issues facing our nation thanks to the new Democratic leadership, I'd like to take a moment to introduce you to the Born Fighting Political Action Committee (PAC). Now that the campaign is behind us and the business of governing is at hand, I want to continue working with the amazing community that we developed over the past year to fight for a better -- and fairer -- America.

As the Chair of the Born Fighting PAC, I will be guided by three primary goals: reorienting our national security posture, bringing fairness back to our economic system, and developing greater accountability in government -- and we'll do so in part by supporting the entities and candidates that promote these platforms.

Born Fighting PAC will allow us to provide early fundraising support to candidates who support these principles, to work with outside groups who care about these issues, and to travel Virginia and the country in support of candidates who understand and support the platforms of the Born Fighting PAC.

You can learn more by visiting BornFighting.com today. And while you're there, I ask for your support as we begin this new endeavor.

Going forward, there is obviously much work to be done as we seek to re-orient our national security posture and to fix the out-of-control economic inequality that threatens the very nature of our country. Thankfully, the results of last November's elections showed that the tide has clearly turned, and the new Democratic Congress gives us cause for optimism once again. All of this is thanks to the incredible support you showed during my successful run for the Senate. For that, you will always have my sincerest appreciation.

Now that the American people have placed Democrats in control of both the House and the Senate, it is time for us to lead on the critical issues facing our nation -- Iraq and economic fairness chief among them -- and we will.

You'll be able to see this on full display Tuesday night when I will deliver the Democratic response to President Bush's State of the Union address. Please stay tuned following the President's speech to hear my views, and I hope you'll agree that we will be focused hard on the true interests of the American people.

Thank you again for your incredible support. I hope that you will visit www.BornFighting.com, and I look forward to continuing to work with you in the weeks and months to come!

Sincerely,

Jim Webb
U.S. Senator

1. Why does everything have to be about fighting? Why not a more positive
slogan.

2. All three of these issues are going to be tremendous fights
against the rich and the powerful who are doing just fine, thanks, while the country is being destroyed from all three directions.

Don't kid yourself that they're just going to roll over and allow us to take it away from them through peaceful means. They won't.

3. You are right we do have to be ready for a fight. It will be a real struggle,
but, a struggle that people have been fighting for for centuries. Will we ever overcome greed and theft and destruction of our natural resources. This is what its all about. I was just thinking, all animals have a home. Every one of them has a right to make a home somewhere. We cannot say the same for humans and therein lies the problem. People are forced to join the labor pool for the owners of our natural wealth. It must be a better way.
