STONE BLAMES WORLD TRADE CENTER BACKLASH ON BUSH


OLIVER STONE blames the poor reception WORLD TRADE CENTER received in the international press on President GEORGE W BUSH, insisting he has turned the world against the US. The Oscar winner was dismayed when European critics slammed the movie following rescue workers after the 9/11 New York terrorist attacks, because he is proud of the film. He says, "We got nasty reviews everywhere. The highbrow press in England hated it. Germany was the worst, then Spain. Even Russia. "The whole world is politicised by George Bush and Iraq. You really feel it. "Anti-Americanism is rampant so it was a very threatening time to bring this movie out."

Check out some of the reviews and user comments at IMdB. I personally didn't like it. The true story that the movie is based on is one thing, the movie itself was horrible.

4. The reviews would have been far better if the movie gave some context behind the attack -

for instance, the White House and intelligence agencies were well aware of who the principal hijackers were and what they intended to do.

The plotters had been under surveillence since at least January 2000.

Yet, for some reason we still don't know, Bush and Condi refused to roll-up the al-Qaeda cells known to be inside the US, despite the urgings of top intelligence and counter-terrorism officers. See,

Kinda puts him in the same group as Bush & Co. I refuse to see this movie for that reason, and I'm sure there are many others who feel the same.

9. Oliver, now remake the actual film

Show the command center in world trade 7 with the
demolition computers, show us the special effects of the
demolition and the bush people re-ordering the world by
detonating a pearl harbour in the backyard of their political
opponents in the world order, those egaletarean universalist
borderless financial persons who sought a fair distribution of wealth.

Bush and his criminals were behind those demolitions, the load
of them needs be tried and hanged... thanks for nothing oliver.
