9. The weather is great!
All the tulips I planted have bloomed and the flowers fallen off. They grew to a whopping 2 inches high! Everything is blooming early. We had new leaves on the trees while tho old one were still on it. Freak weather is more like it. I don't know how much more we can take. But the weather is just fine says the shrub.

We also had a pretty severe hail storm sweep through. It's on its way you now. Good luck!

I had to shut the windows. They had been open since it was in the sixties earlier today.

Getting cold fast now. Ths weather is hell on a scooter rider. I never know how to dress these days.

14. We had thunderstorms out here near Seattle this week...
Granted I've only lived here 2 yrs, but we have rarely had thunderstorms - even in the summertime!

And it's the same setup - it's been warm 50's and will drop into the twenties... bizarre...

Edited on Thu Feb-16-06 04:56 PM by Southpawkicker
When it all looks like it's clearing up and they are going off

take cover, listen to your radio or TV and find out what and where

This is prime time of day for Tornadoes and with the warm air and the frigid cold coming in behind it, the jet stream, all make for perfect spin in the atmosphere.

24. Today in my home town, it's gone from 77 to 62 in about 30
minutes with a brief rainshower. Going to get down to 29 tonight. Sleet and snow predicted for the weekend. Daffodils are blooming, Bradford pear trees are blooming. Crazy.

28. Portland could have wind chill temp in the negative!
everything is blooming, this could kill all the tender buds and plants. :(

They are calling it a "rare frigid air mass"

snip>
The unusual weather system could send temperatures into the teens in the Portland area overnight Thrusday and Friday. Temperatures in outlying and rural areas should be even lower.

Wind gusts as strong as 45 mph could rake the Portland/Vancouver area, sending wind chill temperatures into negative territory as the arctic air tightens its grip on the region.

29. 2 days ago it was in the high 40's even hit 50 in S&Central WI
today it's a major winter storm and going below zero soon in NE WI.
We went through an extended period of less than 1/2 hour of sunlight for 17-18 days.
Also we have the thunder snow... some buds appeared last month...
To put it mildly, we are out of season.

ok. The storm is over here and we got by with rain and wind no hail. The wind is blowing and now winter is here after a lovely spring day.

If it's still storming in your area, stay safe.
