Without an loyal opposition party, whatever party is in power will eventually get very corrupted and debased.
Case in point: Current administration.

...it rhymes with the original. Hopefully the Thought-Crime Police haven't overheard.
In the meantime we have our work cut out for us, not least of which is watching from the sidelines as the bought-and-paid-for Repubs running all branches of federal government self-destruct.
Tricky to do that right: our side still has to have an actual Plan.
